NEW TOUR ANNOUNCED
Andrew Davis is pleased to announce the Big Voice Choir tour to Fiji with the phenomenal Janet Swain.
To be held from 11-18 August 2026, the tour includes workshops, sessions with local choirs learning Fijian songs and visits to local villages.
Janet Swain, choir leader, songwriter and event organiser, lives and works on Bundjalung country in the Northern Rivers of NSW. She directs four choirs called Big Voice, and twice a year the choirs join together for epic and imaginative concerts. Janet is always exploring new and exciting ways to present choral music.
Over a diverse, accomplished and eclectic musical career, Janet has lived in Tokyo, Kuwait and Singapore, and also worked as an English teacher with the British Council in Singapore for 3 years.
For the past 8 years, Janet has also been involved with the African Children’s Choir in Uganda, and has twice travelled to Kampala to work and teach with the organisation, as well as helping to organise three Australian tours.
ABOUT THE TOUR:
Your stay at the First Landing Resort includes 7 nights of accommodation and meals. You will enjoy this lovely small resort which is situated right on the beach with tropical island vistas, stunning sunsets, comfortable accommodation, excellent food, facilities, and nightly entertainment. You have the choice of either beachfront or garden accommodation which you can discuss with us at the time of booking.
The resort is only twenty minutes from Nadi airport so there are no long extra transfers.
Your workshop space has views out over the ocean and other nearby islands and you can enjoy one of the many activities on offer to do in your free time. There are singing workshops each day except for your free day. However, we find that often there is no limit to how much we sing on these tours with locals and guests continuing on past our scheduled times.
All meals will be provided at the resort except for a Fijian feast (lovo), and lunch on your free day which you are responsible for.
You will also have a full and unique cultural immersion into Fiji culture with a trip to one of the remote villages in the mountains and a village near our resort. This unique experience is possible because of Andrew’s history and connection with the people of Fiji. You will be welcomed into the village and invited to enjoy some of the traditional activities and invited to take part in a Fijian feast (lovo) for lunch.
The tour officially starts with a welcome dinner at 6.30 pm on the first day. Please book suitable flights to get you to the resort by 5 pm.
