Andrew has been a vibrant presence in the a cappella world for over 30 years, contributing his talents to numerous well-known choirs, including 23 On a Good Night (Coffs Harbour), Akabella and Bromantics (Bellingen), Cafe of the Gate of Salvation, Good Vibrations, and Honeybees (Sydney), as well as singing in The Messiah under the renowned direction of Richard Gill (Lismore). In 2017, he founded the Sawtello Gospel Choir, a beloved community choir in Sawtell, NSW, that continues to thrive under his leadership.
Andrew has also collaborated with and facilitated singing tours for acclaimed choir directors such as Tony Backhouse, Rachel Hore, Tina Broad, Brian Martin, Moya Simpson, and John Shortis. His extensive experience in leading choirs makes him a sought-after guide for immersive singing tours.
Andrew’s connection to Fiji runs deep. Born on the island and living there until he was 12, he grew up in a household where both his parents, Methodist missionaries, spoke fluent Fijian. His father, a highly respected figure, became President of the Methodist Church in Fiji. This personal history allows Andrew to offer something unique: a true Fijian experience, rich in authenticity and warmth, that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Andrew is passionate about sharing his love for Fiji, its culture, and its people through music. His tours offer participants the opportunity to experience the heart of Fijian life—singing with local choirs, connecting with the community, and engaging in traditional customs. Every journey is a deeply personal reflection of Andrew’s love for both music and his homeland.
